Anyone Can Learn To Teach

What are you passionate about? Is there anything at work that you are proficient at? Do you get irritated when people don't understand your logic? Then you have something to teach.

We've been taught in school that you need years of schooling and a degree for this or that to be able to teach anything. This is completely false. You have the tools to teach if you are knowledgeable in something and a love for helping people grow.

The best way to teach more people is through the internet.

Find a nicely lit area of the house with a solid light-colored wall. You want the background to be plain so nothing in the background distracts the viewer. The lighting needs to be bright enough to see you completely. The darker the set the more pixelated the video.

You don't need a professional camera to film yourself teaching. An up to date cell phone works just as well. Set the phone in a position that captures all of you and the area you might move or point to. If you need a board to write on, make sure that it's in the shot as well. Make sure it's not hard to see yourself in the shot. The student needs to see the teacher.

Keep the content short and sweet. If you can throw some jokes in, laughter is always great. The best way to learn is by keeping the viewer intrigued. If you let your passion speak, people will be interested in seeing you. There's nothing more mesmerizing than seeing that spark in the teacher's eyes when they're teaching what they love.

Film yourself a few times and make sure it's a clean edit. Screwing up is okay, but if you can edit it correctly you'll have a nice clean video. YouTube is a great avenue for uploading the videos. You can put them up there or find a skill-sharing website to connect with.

Websites like Skillshare will pay you for posting your teaching videos. Sign up with them and submit your videos. If they accept your submissions, promote your page. Every time someone views your video or pays for the training, you get paid too!

The world needs to see what you're passionate about. The internet is about learning anything you want at the click of a button. We consume so much junk on the web today, lets make it more educational and productive by creating and posting your teaching videos.
