You're supposed to subscribe to the jaded intricacies of "work", "chores" and "responsibilities". Those words look so daunting don't they? Being an adult just has so many negative connotations connected to it, and scientists appear to agree with me.

As children grow, their creativity and aptitude for inspiration decreases. Society brings this down on them with taxes, money, 9-5 jobs, advertising, television and so much more. It doesn't have to be this way.

- Go Play - Why is playing so abstract to adults? Playing is one of the best ways to let go and bring some happiness in your life. Stuart Brown in his TED Talk "Play is more than just fun" says that play gives a boost to creativity, relaxation, personal growth and is a medium for social regulation.

- Make Up Stories - When you're putting your kid(s) to bed, create a story for them instead of reading a book. In that way, you are stimulating your creative mojo while still telling them a story. Bring the campfire tails to the house with some friends!
These 3 ways may seem funny and quirky, but they work. Putting these ideas into practice will enhance not just your social life, but your psychological life as well. People love hanging out with fun people.
I think differently now that I see older people as grown children than adults. Thinking this way will help break down those adulting walls and bring some happiness in your life.
